Our Philosophy & Vision
Everyone has common sense. Another word for that is the natural law. That's our inner voice that tells us something is either right or it is wrong. We know that there are strong pressures around us that may drown out that voice or that may tell us not to listen to it. That's why we are here--to even the playing field. Good decisions have good consequences. Bad decisions have bad consequences. Those consequences may not show up right away, but they always do. Hollywood and Madison Avenue and all of their friends don't tell you the truth, and what they show in the ads and on television aren't the way things really. The first step to making a good decision is having the right information. That's where we come in. We provide information, and maybe make a recommendation, but we don't preach nor do we proselytize. That's for other people. Everyone can have a healthy, and truly happy, life. Why not start today?

Who We Are
Truth Helps, Inc. is incorporated under the laws of the State of Indiana and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Truth Helps, Inc. came into existence in August, 2002 through the efforts of Rachel C. Silverman and David A. Wemhoff. Rachel and David work at the same law firm, and even though Rachel is a Gen-Xer and David a Baby-Boomer, they share the same outlook on life and things. Rachel and David are Roman Catholics and they realize that the Roman Catholic Faith is a practical way to live your life, be happy, and have fun.
David A. Wemhoff
David is the President and Secretary as well as being a member of the Board of Directors. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he majored in Government, and he is a graduate of the McGeorge School of Law. David practices law and concentrates his work in the area of civil litigation and trial work. He is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve where he has instructed and commanded a number of units. David is a counselor for the Character Abstinence and Relationship Education (CARE) program, and he is a free-lance writer.
Kenneth D. Paulson
Ken is the Vice-President and a member of the Board of Directors. He is a graduate of San Jose State College, where he earned a degree in Business. Ken retired from the United States Army where he served in leadership and operational positions around the world. He is currently a Captain for American Eagle Airlines and is an officer of an airline pilots’ union.
James E. Wemhoff
Jim is the Treasurer. He is a graduate of the International Business College. Jim has over forty years experience as a corporate treasurer and as a business manager. He's the father of David.
The Advisory Council
These folks are the greatest. They are from all walks of life. From a retired Army general to college professors, to a CEO to a lawyer to a Roman Catholic priest and a Monsignor--that's our Advisory Council. They are well known in our home community and around the country. And they help us with their advice and encouragement. We are very thankful for them and what they do. They remind us that we are all in this life together. Without further ado, here they are:
Our Goals
Here's what we want to do. First, we want to reach all young men and young women between the ages of 15 and 25 with our message of the importance of making good decisions with the right information. That's a lot of people, but we aim high confident that it can be done. We are doing it through the Internet, with www.groundpickle.com. And, we are developing a radio program that the whole family will be able to hear. We want to provide resources for women and men in crisis in their own community. This means letting them know where they can go in their area for help if they have a particular problem. We want to hear from you. We welcome your comments and your stories on the website and on life in general. Like us, and others, you've probably learned some hard lessons along the way, and perhaps you'd like to share them. We're into helping people live good lives.

We know that the society in which we find ourselves encourages and promotes behavior and values that may cloud a person's ability to make a wise decision. You can help us to get the truth out. Together we start the renewal of our culture to become one that is life affirming and virtuous and that helps all of us to lead truly happy lives.
